Estimated Payments Due Dates Extended in FEMA Disaster Zones

On Friday, September 3, the IRS extended the due dates of all federal income tax returns and estimated payments for taxpayers in the FEMA declared Disaster Zones until January 3, 2022,
On September 8, 2022, New Jersey announced that it would follow the federal extension for all New Jersey returns and payments due. New York State and City are expected to follow suit. New York City and Westchester County, New York as well as Bergen, Passaic, Middlesex, and Somerset Counties in Northern New Jersey, have been declared disaster areas.
