Combining his tax and business advisory acumen, Mr. Tough advises business owners, their executives and investors on operational and financial reporting objectives, tax matters, debt and equity raise structures, and exit/divestiture strategies. Mr. Tough provides attestation, reporting, business advisory, tax advisory and tax planning services to individuals, entrepreneurs and their businesses. Mr. Tough is an advisor to individuals, families and Family Offices, and several corporations, including start-ups and high-growth companies where his unique knowledge base is sought.

His frequent lectures to organizations on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles changes, including lease accounting and revenue recognition, provide clarity to the dynamic financial reporting environment. He also oversees forensic examinations for businesses and their owners.

His clients include software, online retail, retail, wholesale, professional service, insurance, chemical, and architecture companies with both domestic and international operations.

Mr. Tough co-authored Chapter 35 in the textbook: Wayne L. Winston and Dr. Terence Reilly. Financial Models Using Simulation and Optimization, Fourth Edition. Ithaca, NY: Palisade, 2015. Chapter 35 covers simulating financial statements, and Mr. Tough's professional experience was required to ensure its relevance and accuracy. The textbook is used as an industry reference and in MBA programs nationwide. Mr. Tough is a credited contributor to the chapter .

EDUCATION

Mr. Tough graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with concentrations in accounting and economics.
